Dear Parents
We have had a very busy week with our Soloists and choirs competing in the Eisteddfod; our high and long jumpers competing in their jump events for the Inter-House Sports; interviews for ECD and Grade 1’s being undertaken, as well as preparations for tomorrow’s Inter-House Sports Day. It has been a most successful week though, with our Eisteddfod entries, the last being this afternoon, all making us very proud with their beautiful performances, lovely prospective pupils being interviewed and a high level of jumps exhibited.
The Inter-House Sports Day will be held tomorrow starting at 8:45am. Information follows. Please note that the Grade 5 parents will be selling breakfast and the PTA will be selling lunches and drinks after the event. Parents are encouraged to support the PTA and stay for a social.
Next week we will be holding our Parent/Teacher Consultation. Consultation times will be forwarded with all pupils today. Please note that each consultation is for 10 minutes and that times are to be observed.
The Infants Sports Day will be held next Friday 27th March, at 9:00am. All parents and friends are invited to come and watch and support.
Inter-House Sports Day
We are holding our Annual Inter-House Sports Day for all pupils in Grade 3 – 7 tomorrow, 21st March starting at 8:45am. All team lists are up on the notice board. Girls should be here by 8:30am dressed in house colour T-shirts, white socks, takkies, tracksuits, hats and name badges. They are also reminded to bring sun cream. They should meet on the netball field with their house captains for warm-up and roll call. Please would pupils not bring juice as this attracts bees to the tents. Water will be provided.
Pupils should be at school by 8:30am, as the events will start promptly at 8:45am. Prize giving should be at approximately 12:15pm. All parents, family and friends of Bishopslea are invited.
Please note that parents, relatives etc. are not allowed to go to the competitors’ tents during the events and are not allowed to give the competitors drinks and food until the event is over. All girls should come to school irrespective of the weather. If the event is to be cancelled owing to the weather, we will make the decision after 8:30am when everyone is here.
