Dear Parents
Our first week of afternoon activities has gone very smoothly.

Please be reminded that afternoon activities are not cancelled owing to rain.  Pupils go to classrooms where they learn about rules, scoring, tactics etc for the sport.

If a pupil is to miss an afternoon activity, please inform the office early enough for a message to be sent to teachers and coaches.  Pupils not at an activity when the registers are taken and who have not been excused have to be looked for, parents phoned etc. which does cause anxiety and problems.

Our Tennis Teams will be playing their first fixtures tomorrow against Ruzawi.  The 1st & 2nd Teams are travelling to Ruzawi and the Fillies A & B teams will be playing at home.  We wish them every success.
There will be some adjustments to the Term Calendar, including the Grade 7 camp being deferred to 31st January to 2nd February.

We are very pleased to inform you that Pirates Swimming Club is once again operational both here at Bishopslea and at St John’s. Pirates swimming is from 5-6:00pm for up to Grade 5 and from 5-6:30pm for Grade 6 and 7 Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Pirates Club provides an excellent opportunity for pupils to improve their swimming. Parents are encouraged to enroll their children.  This can easily be done by going to the pool after 5.00pm and talking to the coaches.

We have also included Squad Swimming for Grade 3-7 pupils who can swim a length every afternoon, Mondays to Thursdays from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. Pupils in Grade 3-7 who can swim a length and wish to improve are encouraged to attend as many of the Squad Swimming sessions as possible.
