We have come to the end of an incredible term and year with memorable events held this week.
There was great excitement on Monday. Not only were class Christmas parties held but Father Christmas visited ECD, Grade 1 and Grade 2. There was a mountain of food left over from the parties, which was donated to Old Age Homes and St Joseph’s Home for Boys.
The Carol Concert on Monday evening was exceptional and heartwarming. Not only was the singing beautiful but the orchestra, comprising of all the pupils, amazed us. The vocal solos by Dadiso Kanhukamwe, Aisha Mugwagwa and our guest soloist, Mr Langeveldt, were stunning, as was the incredible violin solo played by Ruth Maposa. Congratulations go to all our Grade 3 – 7 pupils and to our amazing Mrs Bosha.
We held a Certificate Assembly yesterday morning, attended by parents of recipients, at which we were very pleased to award a large number of end of year certificates. We also thanked our JMs, who have come to the end of their year with us, for all their help and efforts and as well as presenting them with flowers, we thanked our two special teachers who are retiring, Mrs. Brooke and Miss. Blankenberg, for their incredible service to Bishopslea.
This morning we held our Prize Giving, at which we honoured and recognized all our pupils for their achievements during the year and thanked all who made them possible. Special thanks go our Guest of Honour, Mrs Chipo Chikara-Nyoni, a Bishopslea old girl, for so graciously presenting our awards and for her address.

It remains for me to thank everyone for an exceptional year, to wish our Grade 7’s everything of the best as they embark on a new chapter in their lives and to wish everyone a safe, restful holiday, a Very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
Yours sincerely –
