5th December 2019

Dear Parents

What a lovely last week of term this has been, starting off with the very special Carol Concert on Monday evening. The carols were sung beautifully and the violins, drums and recorders added such a special element to the Concert. There was great excitement on Tuesday morning as the classes all had their parties. There was a special visit from Father Christmas as well. The mountain of food and drink left over from the parties was donated and delivered to St. Josephs and to the Harare Children’s Home, for which they were extremely grateful.

Our Prize Giving was held on Tuesday evening and was an incredibly special evening. Our thanks go to Fadzayi Mahere our Guest of Honour, for a wonderfully motivating address and for presenting our prizes and trophies.

Final Assembly was held this morning at which all the final awards were presented. It was a sad time for all saying goodbye to our Grade 7’s but we wish them all every success in the future. The final function of the year will be the Grade 7 Leaver’s Dinner tomorrow evening, which they are all very excited about.

The Bishopslea Board of Governors will be meeting on Tuesday morning after which we will be able to inform parents of next term’s fees. We apologise for the delay in informing parents of this. However, I do believe that delaying the decision has allowed the prevailing financial situation be put into more perspective, which will allow for a more informed decision.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, a Happy and Prosperous New Year and a safe holiday.

Yours sincerely
