Dear Parents

What an entertaining final full week of term we have had.

The Grade 3 – 5 production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was spectacular and most entertaining.  Our congratulations and thanks go to all the over 150 pupils who took part and to all the teachers and parents who produced, made costumes, props and painted backdrops.

We have also been amazed at the Infants’ ball skills, which they have proudly shown us this week with ECD having their Ball Skills Watching Day on Wednesday, Grade 1 on Thursday and Grade 2 today.  Watching them we can see why our hockey, netball and tennis teams do so well after being taught such solid basic skills.

Our Senior Choir will be competing in the exciting Choir of the Year Competition to be held at Twin Rivers this evening.  We wish them every success.

The Inter-House Hockey and netball matches will be held next week as per the schedule below and the final matches of the season will be the annual teachers, coaches and parents against the 1^st Hockey Team.

Term for pupils will end next Wednesday, 5^th August, after Final Assembly, which begins at 11:15am.  All parents are invited to attend the Final Assembly.

We are very pleased to inform you that we now have two educational professionals who will be working out of our new Remedial Centre as required.  Mrs. Ruth Hughan is an Educational Psychologist who has already started assessing referred pupils at the Centre and as from next term Mrs Francis Foggin, who is an Occupational Therapist, will be offering assessments and therapy.  Mrs Foggin was most impressed with the new ‘gross motor skills therapy area’ that has been included in the Centre and which is nearing completion. The inclusion of this dedicated area is a first for any school Remedial Centre.
