Dear Parents
The end of term is proving to be very exciting and full.  Our swimming teams have ended on a high note, with the ‘B’ Team competing in the Friendly ‘B’ Team Inter School’s Gala, the ‘A’ Team competing in the EPSA Division 1 Inter-Schools Gala on Saturday and competing in the Ruzawi Invitational on Wednesday.  Results follow.  Our Synchronised Swimmers were a highlight at the Inter-Schools Gala on Saturday and at this morning’s Infants Gala, where they gave spectacular demonstrations.

This morning we held our very exciting Infants Gala, where our ECD, Grade 1 and Grade 2 pupils showed off their swimming skills and abilities, which bode well for our swimming teams in the future. Our congratulations go to them all.

The school looked very colourful this morning with all pupils dressed in civvies to raise funds for our workers’ Christmas hampers.

Our Grade 7’s are busy rehearsing for their production of “The Best Little Theatre in Town”, which they will be performing four times next week.  On Monday morning they will perform for the school, on Tuesday afternoon there will be the charity performance for the Old Age Homes and on Wednesday and Thursday evenings will be the performances for parents, friends and the public.  The Wednesday and Thursday performances will begin at 6:30pm.  The PTA will be selling drinks before the evening performances.

Enhanced Learning Programme
There will be a talk on our new ELP (Enhanced Learning Programme) for interested non-Bishopslea parents on Tuesday at 5:30pm in the Hall. However, those interested Bishopslea parents who missed the talk on Wednesday are invited to come as well.  Qualifying Bishopslea pupils will be given priority to be included in the programme with pupils from other schools being offered the places remaining.

Appeal
We are appealing for old clothes from babies to teenagers, books, toys etc for the Children’s Home we support.  Donations can be delivered to Grade 4C.
