Dear Parents

It is Half Term already.  School ends today at lunch and will re-open on Tuesday, 23rd October.

We are all eagerly awaiting for the arrival of our annual migratory visitors, the Abdim’s storks from the Nile Delta, as their arrival traditionally heralds the start of the rains.  We wish them all a safe flight back to Zimbabwe.

Our Swimming Teams took part in the annual Eve Anderson Gala, hosted by Chisipite, yesterday afternoon.  Our teams are swimming extremely well with the results once again very close.  Congratulations go to all our swimmers who competed.

The tennis matches against St John’s on Monday were cancelled at the last minute owing to the unexpected rain in the Northern Suburbs.  We had high winds at Bishopslea but under 1mm of rain.

The ECD, Grade 1 and Grade 2 pupils are getting very excited for their productions next week.  ECD will be performing their production of ‘A Little Bird Told Me’ and the Grade 1 and 2 pupils will be performing their production of ‘A Tribute to Dr Zeuss’.  The school performance will be on Tuesday at 9:00am and the evening performance for parents, relatives and friends will be on Thursday at 6:00pm.  We are all looking forward to the productions that our pupils and teachers have been working so hard towards.

We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Half Term.
